Running a Session on Your Phone

A session in the Atanzo AI Console app works the same way it does in the browser — see Running a Guided Task for the full walkthrough of the flow itself. This guide covers what's different about meeting that flow on a phone.

1. Reviewing the Plan

Once you describe the task (or select a preset coaching session), the app builds a plan and shows it to you before anything starts: the task name, a summary, and every step in order. Look it over, then confirm to begin. Nothing runs until you confirm.

2. Working Through Steps

The current step is always the only thing on screen — no scrolling back through steps you've already done, no jumping ahead by accident. Below it, a row of controls lets you move at your own pace:

  • Next — advance once you've completed the step
  • Back — return to the previous step
  • Repeat — hear or read the current step again

You can also do all of this by voice if you're in a voice or video session — say "next," "back," or "repeat" instead of tapping.

3. The Camera View

In a video session, your camera feed fills the top of the screen for the whole session, with the current step's instructions in a panel underneath it. The assistant sees what your camera sees, so keep whatever you're working on in frame when a step calls for it.

4. Typing Instead of Talking

Tap the keyboard icon at any point to open a text box and type a question or response instead of speaking. This works mid-step, without losing your place — useful in a quiet space, a loud one, or any moment you'd rather not talk out loud.

5. Ending the Session

When you finish the last step, the session ends on its own. If your account has Coaching Mode provisioned, your report appears immediately; if not, the session simply ends. If you need to stop early, use the end control in the session bar — you'll be asked to confirm first. An early end still produces a report if you got far enough into the task, on the same Coaching Mode basis.

See Session Reports for what's in the report, and who has access to it.

Phone-Specific Realities

A few things behave differently on a phone than they would on a desk:

  • Keep the screen awake. Your phone's normal screen-lock timing still applies during a session. If you're going to be heads-down on a task for a while, check your device's display settings so the screen doesn't lock mid-step.
  • Incoming calls. If a phone call comes in during a session, answering it will interrupt your connection to the assistant. Finish the call and return to the app to pick the session back up.
  • Weak signal. Guided tasks and coaching sessions need a steady connection. On a weak or dropping signal, expect delays in responses or a temporary disconnect — move to a stronger signal area if this happens repeatedly.
  • Credits running out. If your account runs out of credits mid-session, the session ends gracefully rather than cutting off abruptly, and any progress up to that point is preserved in your report.
